Hey folks! I’m back with an icy post that (I hope) will mark the end of winter and the start of warmer weather. Hey – it was actually in the 60s this week in Boston, so anything’s possible!

a great day
the bob ross dress
Ever since I first saw this dress on ModCloth, I have referred to it as the “Bob Ross Dress.” The mountains…the fluffy clouds…the happy little trees…this thing has “Bob Ross” written all over it. All it needs is his signature in the lower corner, done in some thinned-down red paint.
boston chili bowl
On Saturday, Dave and I went to the Great Boston Chili Bowl. Local restaurants serve up portions of their best chili, accompanied by beverages from local breweries. The event is currently in its third year, and all proceeds go to ALS research.
This was our second time attending, and it was awesome! Once you get in the doors it’s all you can eat/drink, and of course that’s right up my alley 🙂
fishtail braids!
It’s officially the start of my February break! Although I love my job, I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy being home from work a few times each school year. This week, I plan on sewing and designing, and maybe doing a bit of baking!
sunny stroll
I love how the world is so bright with a fresh coat of snow.
We had a snow day on Friday, and then another one today – surprising since there wasn’t much accumulation. I guess it was just enough to mess up the roads! I’m hoping it’s our last snow day of the year, because I really don’t want to add anymore days to the calendar in June!
nerd pride
I was definitely a nerd in high school. I was on the math team, robotics team, student government, school newspaper, drama club, student leadership, French club, and in the marching band.
I still consider myself nerdy, so I was excited when students at school asked me to participate in their Nerd Pride day.
the bathroom wall
About two weeks ago, Dave and I grabbed some breakfast at one of our favorite places in Cambridge, Tatte. If you ever go, you must get the muesli: rich and creamy whipped Greek yogurt topped with pumpkin seeds, oats, almonds, cashews, black sesame seeds, strawberries, apples, blackberries, and drizzled with honey….perfection!
Their bakery treats and shakshuka are also incredible!
halloween – rosie the riveter
I love Halloween! It’s definitely my favorite holiday…even better than Christmas!
- I’ll take any excuse to wear a costume
- Halloween music is awesome
- I’m addicted to candy 🙂
date with dave
…and by “date” I mean we walked around the South End and then got Tasty Burger. Still counts, right? 🙂 I totally scarfed down a Big Tasty, fries, jalapeno cheese sauce, and a chocolate milk. Mmm, my mouth waters just thinking about it!
