When my parents were recently up in Boston, we made sure to check out Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium. I heard it was cool, but since I’m not a football fan I wasn’t sure if I would appreciate any of it.
But when we pulled in, I was thrilled to find restaurants and shopping – so of course that made me happy! I also loved seeing the big stadium (though I’m sad I was never able to get tickets to the Metallica show that’ll be there later this month!)
I didn’t really plan this outfit, but I loved that once everything was on it had a bit of a 1960s mod vibe going on! I purchased this cute checkerboard top a few months ago from ModCloth, and I can’t believe it has taken me this long to photograph it. I have been trying to add more fun tops to my wardrobe, since most of the ones I own are plain/solid.
The fun top needed a fun pose, so it felt like it was the right time to bring a jump pose back to the ol’ blog…
Wow, that’s 2 weeks in a row now with a pose failure! But if you cover up my head…and my arms, it’s not so bad, right?
Before I wrap things up, I HAVE to give you a closer look at my purse! My parents always buy me the best stuff, and this was a Christmas gift from them that I adore. The speakers on this baby are real, and the sound quality is actually pretty good! There’s a headphone jack inside with a little battery pack so you can plug in your phone and rock out 🙂

So sorry for the long absence! I know it’s been about a month since my last post… 😦
Things have been really busy recently, mostly due to the stamp/paper crafts company that I co-founded and design for, Altenew. There is a big trade show every year that we attend, and this year it was in Phoenix. I was CRAZY busy December and January leading up to the show the weekend of the 20th.
Have any of you seen Doctor Strange yet?
Dave and I made sure to see it opening weekend, and I have to say it was awesome! Of all of the Marvel movies, this was the story that I knew the least about going in, which was kind of nice because there were no expectations to live up to.
Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday!
I adore costumes (as proven by my obsession with cosplay), and of course I also love any excuse to eat lots of candy 🙂
Wow, this post is looooong overdue!
I think I took these photos in early August. You know, when the weather was consistently awesome – unlike the 30s one minute, high 7os the next that we have been experiencing lately in MA.
I guess I can’t complain…at least we have had some warm afternoons this October!
A few weeks ago, Dave and I visited Amorino, a gelato shop on Newbury St. I’m half Italian, so I am a bit embarrassed to admit that this was my first time eating gelato. I know…crazy!
Are you familiar with the Metroid series of games? They feature Samus Aran, a bounty hunter who protects the galaxy by defeating aliens. You know, just a typical day for a young woman in space 🙂
I have always loved playing the games, so I decided to honor them with this look!
