Have any of you seen Doctor Strange yet?

Dave and I made sure to see it opening weekend, and I have to say it was awesome!  Of all of the Marvel movies, this was the story that I knew the least about going in, which was kind of nice because there were no expectations to live up to.

I knew I wanted to wear a themed outfit, but wasn’t sure exactly what that would be…until I searched around my closet and found this galaxy skirt!  PERFECT!

I had bought this sometime last spring off of Amazon, but it was way too big so it ended up on the sewing pile.  I eventually got around to altering it once school let out in June, then enjoyed wearing it all summer!  I was glad to break it out again for this occasion 🙂

How do you like my levitation skills?

I wore some space-themed accessories as well, including my moon phase barrette, Ursa Major necklace, and Blips and Chitz pin (I know…it’s from Rick and Morty, and not at all related to Doctor Strange…but it has a planet on it. That counts, right?)

Oooh I keep pestering Zac to go see Dr. Strange with me but it hasn’t worked out yet. By this weekend we better have seen it, haha. I’m glad to hear you liked it! I don’t know a whole lot about this storyline either…and really don’t have any expectations either..which is nice for a change (especially for a Marvel movie)!

I love your themed outfit and the photos! The skirt is amazing! I hadn’t considered getting dressed up for this movie….but you’ve inspired me to see what I can all find in my closet! 🙂

Yes, you guys should definitely see it! I think due to the fact that I wasn’t familiar with the story (plus all the magic), it seemed less like the other Marvel movies…and I loved that! They only mentioned the Avengers once, which seemed oddly out of place but it was a nice little reference for the fans. You’ll have to let me know if you see it, if you guys like it, and what you wear if you end up getting dressed up! 🙂

Thanks, Sara! That jacket is one that I purchased for soooo cheap on macys.com – I couldn’t believe the price (around $30), and my only regret was not getting another one in a different color!
