ultimate vegas outfit

Hey guys!  I was recently inspired by Vegas.com and their #ultimatevegasoutfit challenge to share how I would style my look for a day in Las Vegas.  I love the challenge because I have only been to Vegas once, and it was when I was 19 – I have been dying to go back since I turned 21 (which was quite a long time ago, haha!)

I’m not a big gambler, but I definitely rock the penny slot machines alongside the grandmas 🙂

For my day look, I was inspired by the Circus Circus Hotel.   Although it’s not the swankiest spot on the strip, it looks like so much fun!   Of course they  have a casino, but they also have a rotating snack bar on a carousel, AND a theme park!

My dress is a recent score from Lindy Bop’s Memorial Day sale – I only paid $15 for it!  Crazy! I love checking the sale section on their site because the prices are usually really good.

Because I’m imagining a visit to Circus Circus, I accessorized with the cutest popcorn handbag from Betsey Johnson:

Isn’t it adorable?  I also wore my “Hooray” bobby pin, because that’s what I’ll be saying when I hit it big at the slot machines!! (psst…when you play penny slots, a “big win” is anything over 5 bucks, ha!)

Aaaaaand below are a couple of pictures of me posing with the cactus…because that’s what you do when you are in front of a big fake cactus, right?!DSC_0427-small

When we took these photos, Dave was wearing another vest-and-bow tie outfit, so I knew I had to snap a few of him too:

For my night look, I was inspired by Bellagio Hotel.  I have loved that hotel ever since I saw it get robbed in Ocean’s 11 🙂  (and that scene at the end near the fountain, with Debussy’s Clair de Lune playing? SO good!).

The Bellagio is definitely a more upscale place, so it needed a more upscale look.   Since Vegas is all about living it up and doing things big, I decided to dream a bit outside of my closet and put a few wish list items together for this outfit.

Dress:  Pinup Girl Clothing Couture Veronica Dress in Black with Black Heart
Necklace:  Club Suit Necklace via Hello Charms HQ on Etsy
Purse:  Kate Spade Place Your Bets Emmanuelle
Earrings:  EFFY Geo Diamond and 14K White Gold Spike Drop Earrings via Lord and Taylor

Did you notice something cool about my outfit? (other than the fact that it retails in the thousands, haha)

I have a dress with a heart in the middle, a Kate Spade bag with a spade on it, a club necklace, and diamond earrings in the shape of a diamond.  If that’s not a lucky outfit for a night on the town in Vegas, I don’t know what is!

If you’re planning a trip, you can head over to vegas.com to see their Las Vegas packages, and if you want to follow along with the challenge, check out #ultimatevegasoutfit!

This post is so fun! You are rocking that Lindy Bop dress! And Circus Circus Hotel sounds like a blast! Your purse would be the absolute perfect accessory. 🙂 I’ve honestly never been to Vegas…but I would love to go one day! (I would be right there with ya on the penny slots!) And Dave’s vest-and-bowtie looks are fabulous, as well! 🙂

Hope you two have a wonderful, weekend!

Wow, with all of your traveling I’m surprised you have never made it to Vegas. Wouldn’t it be fun to plan a group get-together with other blogger friends?! We would probably have to wait ’til you’re back in the states though, 🙂

Dave has been doing the vest thing more recently since it’s an easy way for him to spruce up his look! Although I also love it when he wears his usual game or comic t-shirts and jeans.

Hope you have a great weekend too Lindsey!

So fun! The popcorn bag makes it, in my opinion! I, too, recently snagged a dress from LindyBop for just $15 in their sale. I LOVE that! Makes the dress feel that much better once on, yeah? Vegas can be so fun! As you know, I’m there on an average of twice a year lately due to work trips! I get so tired of it after all is said and done but it’s quite the place for time away from real life, that’s for sure!!

I think you are the one who originally got me hooked on Lindy Bop, so thank you! My wallet appreciates it too, since I am so cheap when it comes to clothing 🙂

I knew you had the most Vegas experience out of everyone I know, so I was curious if you ever gamble when you are there for work. It’s funny that you get so tired of it! I feel the same way with New York City sometimes, since I have been there SO many times having grown up fairly close by.
