yes, I’m wearing another hat! (aka my eShakti review)

FTC Disclosure: I received this dress from eShakti for review.  All opinions are my own, and I am not being compensated for this review.

Good morning, friends!  Today I am excited to share this dress I received from eShakti.  I was thrilled when I received an email from them, since I adore every eShakti dress I own! 🙂

If you are not familiar with the company, let me fill you in a bit.  Have you ever found a garment you loved, except… (fill in the blank!)?  Well, if your problem had to do with size, fit, length, neckline, or sleeve type, then eShakti has found the solution!  They offer custom styling AND custom sizing for any item in their store.  This is amazing for people who don’t fit into the cookie-cutter sizes available in ready-to-wear stores…which I’m sure is like 75% of the female population!

Once I knew I could pick out a dress, I started to stalk their website – new styles are added every day, and I wanted to make sure that I picked something amazing!  When I saw the unique cut of this one, I thought it was perfect.  I also don’t have many green dresses – I actually think the only other one I have is this, also from eShakti!

This is the Cutout Front Poplin A Line Midi Dress.  Sadly, it looks like it is currently unavailable, but there is another JUST like it in black.

So, how was my ordering process?   Well, once I put in all of my measurements (Height, Length of arm, Upperarm, Hip, Waist, Underbust, Bust, Chest, and Shoulder) I was so excited that I hit “submit” right away.  However, I forgot to change the length of the dress…d’oh!  I really wanted it to be above the knee, so I was slightly disappointed when it arrived and I realized I messed up (And let me stress the point that eShakti did everything right!  This was my mistake)

However, once I put it on I fell in love!  I feel very classy and mature in this dress, and it’s different from everything else I own.  I felt SO classy, in fact, that I needed a ladylike hat to top it all off:DSC_0512-small DSC_0519-small DSC_0528-small

Do you like my new ombré hair?  I shared a peek yesterday on Instagram (check out the link for a picture without the hat on if you want to see it better) and I have to admit – I’m still figuring out how I feel about it!  It seems so dark compared to my old hair.    Maybe I’ll post some pics next week of my whole hair dyeing experience  🙂

Isn’t this purse amazing?  C’mon…I’m a music teacher!  It’s perfect!  It was a graduation gift from my Aunt, given after I received my master’s degree last year.  Thank you again, Aunt Barbara!

What’s the point of having a hat if you’re not going to throw it?  I only wish I could throw a hat as perfectly as Mary Tyler Moore:

If you are curious about my location, Dave and I had a picnic that day at Robbins Farm Park. I met him after work and brought a picnic basket, blanket, sushi rolls, drinks, and homemade cupcakes.  The view of the city from the park is incredible.  I couldn’t get a good shot of it because it was SO sunny right over the skyline, so it all came out overexposed.  But this shot I found here will give you a better view:

For more info on eShakti, you can visit their website or check them out on Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram.  And if you’re not sure where to start, I just adore:

Thank you so much Amanda! It’s funny- finding a bra to work with that peephole was a nightmare, but I really love the unique cutout!

Thanks, SaraLily! I never knew my Aunt had such good taste in accessories, but I’m glad she does! The only thing that would make it better is if it had a strap. I’m always scared I’m going to drop my clutch or forget it somewhere!

I know! I never considered myself a “hat person,” but the more I wear them the more I love them!
